Stop drowning in data chaos. Start driving business outcomes.
Nasuni, the leading unstructured data platform for enterprise teams and AI, has acquired DryvIQ. The acquisition adds AI-powered content intelligence and governance capabilities to the Nasuni File Data Platform, including content-level discovery and classification, sensitive data detection, and automated policy-driven governance, giving organizations greater visibility and control over unstructured data, not just within Nasuni, but across more than 40 cloud and on-premises repositories.
Together, Nasuni and DryvIQ create something much larger than a collection of features. We create an operational file data platform designed for the AI era, one that can understand, manage, move, protect, govern, and activate enterprise file data at scale.
The Announcement
Why did Nasuni acquire DryvIQ?
Enterprises are under mounting pressure to modernize their data management strategies, driven by the need to provide AI access to governed data while navigating rising infrastructure costs. Most organizations have petabytes of unstructured data scattered across dozens of repositories, and most of it has never been classified. This is a significant impediment to both security and compliance requirements and progress of AI initiatives.
DryvIQ brings highly complementary technology and expertise that closely align with Nasuni’s platform strategy. Its AI-powered classification models scan file content across more than 550 file formats, identifying over 1,000 business document types and detecting sensitive information including PII, PHI, and PCI data across more than 175 languages. Combined with a proven track record across more than 1,100 global organizations, including Fortune 1000 enterprises, together Nasuni and DryvIQ add capabilities no single vendor previously offered in a cloud-native file platform.
How does this acquisition fit into Nasuni's braoder strategy?
This builds on Nasuni’s acquisition of Resilio earlier this year and its continued organic R&D innovations, including the recently announced AI Activate. AI Activate is designed to give AI governed access to live file data without ever creating another copy; every permission enforced, every file current, and no drift. Together, these capabilities create something much larger than a collection of features. They create an operational file data platform designed for the AI era, one that can understand, manage, move, protect, govern, and activate enterprise file data at scale.

Capabilities
What capabilities does DryvIQ add to the Nasuni platform?
With the addition of DryvIQ, Nasuni enables enterprises to:
Manage
- Discover and classify content using AI-powered models that scan file content across more than 550 file formats, over 100 entities, and over 1,000 business document types, detecting PII, PHI, and PCI data across more than 175 languages.
- Identify, organize, and take action based on file content: continuously discover, classify, and manage unstructured data in-place and at scale, helping organizations fuel AI initiatives with high-quality data, support regulatory compliance, and eliminate redundant, obsolete, and non-critical data.
- Optimize infrastructure costs with data-driven decisions and hybrid cloud flexibility, giving organizations the visibility to stop storing data indiscriminately and the flexibility to place data where it makes the most strategic sense.
Protect
- Enforce governance automatically through configurable policy rules that quarantine high-risk content, apply retention and sensitivity labels, remediate permissions, and support defensible deletion across more than 40 cloud and on-premises repositories. Policy enforcement maps to GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and other regulatory frameworks.
Activate
- Optimize data for AI with confidence by classifying content, detecting sensitivity, and enforcing policy before data is exposed to AI, ensuring organizations can activate unstructured data for enterprise teams and the AI that supports them safely and at scale.
