Leadership Team
Sean Nathaniel
Sean joined DryvIQ as President and COO in February of 2022. He was made CEO in October of 2022.
Prior to DryvIQ, Sean was the Chief Operating Officer at CS DISCO, Inc. (NYSE: LAW), where he was accountable for delivering a high-functioning company and Senior Leadership Team. Before CS DISCO, Sean was the EVP of Workflow Automation Solutions and Global Chief Technology Officer at Upland Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: UPLD), where he had P&L responsibility for over $100 million in annual run-rate revenue and ran the global technology function. At both DISCO and Upland, Sean was a member of the executive leadership team and an integral part of the growth, success, and IPO process. Throughout his almost 25-year career, Sean has proven to be a strong operational leader, having led all functions in both private and public B2B SaaS companies.
Sean has an executive MBA from the University of Nebraska and a BA in Management Information Systems from Northwestern College. Sean is an active investor and advisory board member of B2B technology and services companies.
Mark Brazeau
Mark is the founder and president of DryvIQ and has spent over 25-years in the Information Technology industry. In October of 2022, Mark became the Chief Strategy Officer and Chairman of the Board.
Prior to founding DryvIQ, Mark was the founder and CEO of BlueThread Technologies, the creators of SmartDesk, a configurable ECM application framework built upon Microsoft SharePoint. BlueThread also created and architected StoragePoint, a SharePoint-based storage solution architected to dramatically improve the performance and management of large-volumes of content. StoragePoint was subsequently sold to an Insight Venture Partners/Bessemer Ventures portfolio company in 2010.
Previously, Mark was Senior Vice President of Sales and Product Marketing at KnowledgeLake, a SharePoint ECM company, as well as Image Process Design, a FileNet/IBM ISV. Mark was also the founder and CEO of MediaVision (an electronic arts company), which was later sold to VideoSource in 1995. Mark holds several ECM-related technical certifications, as well as earned numerous awards for audio design and engineering while he was the co-founder and CEO of FutureSound early in his career.
Sara Whitwer
With nearly 20 years of experience in marketing, Sara has led and empowered teams that spanned multiple geographies, including marketing operations, web, paid media, content, creative, growth marketing, product marketing, and customer marketing, as well as devised and managed GTM strategies and projects that filled the sales pipeline. A big believer in the importance of a unified revenue team, Sara has an extensive background working closely with executive leadership, sales, customer success, product, and operations teams.
Before joining DryvIQ, Sara oversaw marketing operations and led the marketing due diligence process and integration activity for more than 12 acquisitions at Upland Software, a $300M ARR SaaS business. Considered a natural storyteller, she has navigated two major branding initiatives to ensure the company’s brand, voice, and reach were consistent and meaningful. Sara holds multiple account-based marketing certifications and has earned Marketing Excellence and other company awards.Michael Heffelfinger
Michael joined DryvIQ in March of 2022 as the Vice President of Professional Services. With more than 20 years of leadership, customer success, and professional services experience, Michael has a proven track record of growing, transforming, and scaling professional services organizations.
Before joining DryvIQ, Michael was the AVP, Services Operations at ArisGlobal, LLC, responsible for leading a 600+ services team and driving revenues over $50 million. Before ArisGlobal, Michael led the professional services organization at Upland Software, Inc. Michael was responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of a services organization supporting a team of over 200 and delivering services for 25+ product lines. While at Upland, Michael also led the transformation and onboarding of more than ten acquired companies.
Matt Doyle
Matt Doyle joined DryvIQ as Chief Financial & Operations Officer in May 2020. In this position, Doyle is responsible for the financial and operations strategy for DryvIQ.
Prior to joining DryvIQ, Doyle was the CFO of Rock Ventures, The Family Office and Coordination entity for Quicken Loans Founder and Cleveland Cavaliers Chairman Dan Gilbert’s portfolio of more than 100 companies. While at Rock Ventures, Doyle focused on business development, investments, finance, accounting, treasury, enterprise-wide system, and reporting.
Before Rock Ventures, Doyle worked at PwC in the Assurance Practice and then the Transaction Services group focusing on both Corporate and Private Equity clients. Doyle has broad industry experience, including software, automotive, medical devices, healthcare, services, and consumer products. In addition to his domestic experience, Matt has also worked on cross-border transactions, including deals in North America and Europe.
Matt is a Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Public Accountant. He received his BS in Finance and MS in Accounting from Michigan State University.
Steve Woodward
Steve is the Chief Product and Innovation Officer for DryvIQ and has over 27-years in the Information Technology industry, focusing primarily on web technology, workflow, imaging, and ECM solutions. He has designed, built, and delivered ECM applications for several Fortune 500 companies including some of the country’s largest insurance and financial companies. Steve, a Microsoft Certified Professional with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Six Sigma Green Belt, has also worked within the manufacturing industry IT space, delivering inventory management, data warehouse, and workflow applications.
Via historical roles as a developer, team lead, and development lead, Steve has managed all phases of the software lifecycle; including design, development, documentation, automated testing, and QA. As a hands-on executive, he has delivered several enterprise-class ECM solutions leveraging a variety of workflow engines and content management platforms.
Terry Baxter
Terry is DryvIQ’s Chief Technology Officer, bringing more than 20 years of software industry expertise to the table. Over his two decades of experience, Terry has led a start-up to acquisition, wearing many hats along the way – from Director of Client Services for Engineered Data Products, to Vice President of Engineering.
Prior to joining DryvIQ, Terry served as the Director of Engineering for Pitney Bowes, successfully developing and unifying geo-diverse teams across engineering, IT and services.
In addition to his extensive experience in engineering and IT, Terry has a PhD in communications.
